Re: 2012 Addin
You will need an Autodesk Revit 2012 product installed to use the Revit Addins. If you do then you should see a set of buttons as shown here, under the 'Revit User Group Addin' tab inside of Revit.
If they still don't show up, just let me know and I'll help troubleshoot.

Re: 2012 Addin
I am using Revit Architecture 2012. The downloaded file installs "unit converter" when executed. Checked the 2012 addin folder and did a search for the files and it finds the .pdf with the overview of the addins. even in my program list "unit converter" shows up in the revit 2012 addin folder along with the addin overview pdf.

Re: 2012 Addin
The only files placed under your programs list would be the ones you mentioned but the installer also places files in the folder below, depending on your version of Windows. When you start Revit Architecture 2012, at the top of the screen, inside Revit, you should see a tab named 'Revit User Group Addin'. Does that show up? If not, are there any folders/files in the directory below?
Windows Vista or Windows 7:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012\

Re: 2012 Addin
Nothing.
File Downloaded - CRUG_Revit_2012_Addin_XP_Setup.exe (6,959 kb)
Using Windows XP - Revit 2012 latest patch installed.
I still have both Revit 2011 & 2012 loaded on my machine. The 2011 file works exactly as you described. The 2012 file still only installs unit converter. I've downloaded the file multiple times and tried reinstalling - no luck.

Re: 2012 Addin
I'm not sure why that's happening.
To manually install the addins you can try downloading this, unzip it and copy the contents as is to:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012\
Hopefully that does the trick...

Works great! Thank you for taking the time to deal with this.

Re: 2012 Addin
Download this.
Extract the ZIP then copy and paste the contents of the Program Files folder to yours and the contents of the 2012 folder to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012
Once that's done you should see the addin in Revit. Do you happen to know if your temp directory resides on your C: drive? I'm trying to figure out why Installshield is throwing that error.

Re: 2012 Addin
I'm pretty sure it is on my c: drive. I will have to look in the morning when I am at work. Thanks fOr the help.
I have a few plugins that need vendorid info so they will work in 2012.
Little off topic but do you recommend any other Revit addins?

Re: 2012 Addin
No problem. ADN has a pretty good one for renumbering rooms, doors, etc.
