Not sure off hand but these will help narrow it down.

  • Do they both show up under the start menu?

  • What version of Windows are you running?

  • If Vista or Windows 7, does this folder exist? Does the 2012 folder contain CRUGRevitAddin_2012.addin?
    C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012\Charlotte Revit User Group Tools

  • If XP, does this folder exist? Does the 2012 folder contain CRUGRevitAddin_2012.addin?
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012\Charlotte Revit User Group Tools

I just realized that he utility creates a new tab, "Revit User Group AddIn", instead of placing it into the standard "Add-Ins" folder, where I assumed it would br. Thanks for the prompt response.

Revit 2012 Add In Install Empty Re: Revit 2012 Add In Install

Try this:

- Download http://www.revitusergroup.com/Addins/2012/2012_XP.zip
- Extract the zip file and copy the contents of the 2012 folder to

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012

- Next time you open Revit you should see the adding under a 'Revit User Group' ribbon tab.

Sorry, I meant to mention that. I also located the error in the original setup so that should work now as well.
